Office XP Updates Slowing Down Outlook

Since downloading critical Office XP updates from
Microsoft, especially SP2, Outlook takes about six
seconds to open messages in HTML format.

Downloading the latest (non critical) updates hasn't
improved the situation.

Before the updates were installed, the messages appeared
almost immediately.

Has anyone else experienced the same problem?

If so, have you had any success in solving it?

Try Tools>Options>Other and uncheck "Enable Instant Mess..."
