Office programs go on there own

What is causing my programs to go on thier own? I can be
typing away and it all of sudden starts adding text or
it goes to the menu bar and starts pulling down things on
the menu bar

Any chance you're using xl2002 or higher?

Maybe you've turned on the voice recognition feature and your pc is following
your instructions!
