Office outlook 2007 a data file did not clode...

new computer with XP and Office 2007, i have the following problem each time
i open outlook:
A data file did not close properly the last time it was used, and is being
checked for problems, performance might be affected while check is in
progress.

i have done diagnostic and also office repair but none was found and the
problem is stil there...!!!
I thank you in advance if you could help me out stating step by step on what
i coulddo/

Leave Outlook open until the 2 gears in the right bottom corner go away.
Then close Outlook again and wait a minute or 2. When you start Outlook, do
you still get the notification?

I have same problem and my gears never go away.
