Try searching for Keyfinder, If you had Office on your PC keyfinder will find
your activation key

I've had mixed results with keyfinder concerning it's accuracy especially
with operating system keys. Two of the OEM installs that I have both have
the same key number and they aren't even close to the keys that are on the
cases of the machines. The results are what is actually on the install disk
and not the actual activation key.

My office 97 disks have a serial number that acts just like a product key.
If you don't but that serial number in, it will not install.
