When I type an URl in the adress bar or filling data in a webform,
sometimes an office application starts automatically.
WinXP SP2 - IE60.29 - Office 2003 SP1

e --> opens excel
d --> opens word
p --> opens windows explorer.

Does anyone recognize this problem. If so, Are these settings? Or do I
have a virus, spyware, or something similar?

I can't seem to find the exact information any more, but I've seen such
behavior before with other letters (e opening Explorer, for instance). It
was related to a Ctrl key pressed in a DOS window and I seem to recall that
you could solve it by starting a DOS session, then pressing Ctrl and exit
the DOS session. Restarting Windows also should take care of it.

Kind regards

Hans

Hans,

Thx for your answer, but I tried it and it didn't work. The problem
seems even bigger. What I noticed is that my function keys don't
function properly as well.
Al lot of strange things happen.
