Office apps disappear when minimized

Office post said it was a Windows issue so I'm reposting here. Have 1 PC
where the office apps disappear from desktop when they are
minimized. they are still open just no longer visible. Alt tab brings up to
choice to open (maximize) them.., I'm sure this is just a check box or
registry seting some where but I can find nothing. Anyone seen this before
or know how to fix it please? Taskbar is not hidden. Thanks
