Office 2007 Word?

When I edit Word Documents I get something that looks weird with all sorts
of strange characters in the document or letter. How do I edit a previously
created Word file and get it to look like a normal document like they did
with Word 2003?

Firstly this is a VISTA group, not Word. Word is not part of any Windows
Operating system. There are dedicated Word groups.
Secondly I presume you are seeing the formatting marks.
In the Home Tab, in the Paragraph section, the top right-hand icon that
looks like a reversed "P" ( ¶) will toggle these formatting marks on and
off.
If that's NOT what you are seeing then post back.

You are asking a question about Word here in a Vista newsgroup.
Although you *may* get help here, your chances would be much better if
you would ask in the appropriate place--a Word newsgroup. That's where
the Word experts hang out.

Err - He didn't ask if Word was part of Windows <sigh> Umm. He wanted to
know why he, Err, got strange characters in his document. Err.

Err - Have you put on your NET COP badge today? Err/Umm.

I tried to find a Word NG and found a list of about one hundred. Had no idea
which I should be subscribing to so I thought I'd ask my question here. I
just chose one (that was English) asked my question there.

Thanks
