When I insert a jpeg into a document in Office 2003 it does not display when
I go to print preview mode. The jpeg also must be "refreshed" if I go to
another page in the document and then return to the page with the jpeg.

Word in office 97 did not have this "problem".

Well, of course the picture needs to be refreshed if you scroll away and
then back. Word has to redraw the screen every time something changes. If
the refresh is happening very slowly, it may be a sign something needs
tweaking on your machine--more memory or change the display settings. If you
were running Word 97 on the same machine, chances are your machine is not
powerful enough to run the more sophisticated and thus more memory-hungry
Office 2003.

Did you mean something else by "refresh"?

When a picture does not display in Print Preview, that is usually because it
isn't going to print. Check the settings in Tools |Options, Print tab, and
make sure you have it set to print pictures with the document. Also see
