Office 2000 Toolbar

In the office I run XP Pro with O2k Premium. At home I run W2k Pro
with O2k. On both systems, I have the office toolbar set up along the
right edge of my desktop.

The problem I have on both systems is that occasionally 'something'
happens. I do NOT know what it is. But after this 'something'
happens, any window that opens and is set to max, goes over to the
right edge of the desktop, UNDER the office toolbar, making the
Min/Max button about half visible, and hiding the Close button and any
scroll bar altogether.

Does anyone know what might be happening? Does anyone have or know of
a fix? The only fix I know of is to reboot the box.

Thanks in advance,

Tom

You can always close an active program by using the Alt-F4 key combination.

Your problem appears to be that the Office Toolbar is set to be always on
top. Try right click on the color box {should be at the top}. You should
get a menu. One menu item is Hide or Auto-Hide. Try selecting that one.
If I recall correctly, you should also have a Always on Top selection. If
both are checked, the Toolbar will only appear when you bring your mouse to
the side of the screen. If Always on Top is not checked the Toolbar will be
behind the application.

'Auto Hide' is off, and 'Always On Top' is on.

Did you try fixing your problem by having both Auto Hide and Always On Top
both on or both off? Either with work. Your choice as to preference.
