Either enable the Internet Connection Firewall or disable the
Messenger Service (not Windows Messenger/MSN Messenger) under Computer
Managment=>Services (Start=>Run=>compmgmt.msc)

Say more. In addition to Jeffrie's suggestions, I'd add running Spybot
Search & Destroy:

Download, install.

On first run, update definitions. Then do a full scan of your machine, and
check off and fix anything marked in RED.

go to download.com and download spybot search and destroy and ad-aware. there is some things that one doesnt find that the other does. they are both free and provide updates. i used them alot and you wont believe all they can get. good luck!!
