Hello,
Is there a limit concerning number of files in a folder in
windows 2000 professional?

There probably is but it would be at a point that makes
the machine perform very poorly. Once you have more
than 5000 entries in a particular folder, performance for
accessing this folder drops sharply, especially on NTFS
partitions.
 
I think he was saying your post was "not available." Someone said the same thing to me the other day.
