Hi All,

Possibly a silly question but could someone tell me what is meant on my XP
Pro COA "1-2 cpu"?
Does this mean I can legally install XP Pro on 2 different machines?

No - it means it will run on systems with 2 cpu's or with Intel's
HyperThreading turned on.

Jerry,

It ONLY means a system with 1 or 2 PHYSICAL CPUs.
It is NOT related to Hyperthreading CPUs as we only count physical
processors not virtual ones.
You may install Windows XP Professional on a dual proc system that has HT
turned on and yes you see 4 CPUs in Task Manager.
