OE Removed access to unsafe attachments

When receiving e-mail attachments some are not available to be openned and the message "OE Removed access to the following unsafe attachments in your mail: file name" is displayed. I have not been able to determine how the program determines what will be screened out and what will be displayed. I would like to be able to see these files. Any ideas?

Menu: Tools/Options Security Tab to turn off this default behavior.
Read in "help" about how it works, risks involved, etc.

Any follow up, suggest you use the newsgroups specialising in Outlook
Express. OE is not Outlook.
