OE 6 Problem - Insert, Picture, Browse

I have a new Dell Dimension E510 with XP Media Center Edition. It seems to
have a bug. I haven't encountered this problem before.

When you are composing a message and insert-picture-browse, OE freezes up.
The only way to get out is to ctrl-alt-del and close OE. All the other insert
commands work fine. Interestingly enough, if you know the exact location of
the picture on your computer it will let you type the location of the file
into the box and it works just fine. It only freezes up when you try to
browse for the picture. ***The exact same thing happens in Outlook.*** I have
downloaded all updates.

Any suggestions?

Make sure you don't have any unavailable network locations mapped (as a
drive letter) in Explorer. Otherwise try clearing your Internet Explorer
History and try again.

Thanks for the input. No unavailable network locations mapped and cleared my
IE history (as well as everything else) and rebooted. Also tried disabling
the virus/firewall and that seemed to have no effect.
