Odd share problem

Hi All,

This is puzzling me, please let me know what you all think:

I have an XP Home SP2 desktop PC. This was sharing its entire "D"
drive, as well as the defaullt share of "SharedDocs" on the C drive.

As of this morning (post install of some Hotfixes overnight + automatic
reboot), I can see, but cannot access the "D" drive share. I have tried
unsharing/resharing/rebooting/sharing only a small subfolder etc etc on
the "D" drive, and nothing seems to work. I also tried sharing a folder
on my "E" drive, only to find the same problem.

Now, the "strange" part is that I can still share folders on my "C"
drive as I have always done. Simply right click, share it, and it works
perfectly. It only seems to have stopped working for the D and E
drives.

I would normally simply remove the hotfixes/updates to see what
happens, but it's really bothering me that it's only happening on D and
E, but working fine on C drive.

Any ideas??? The error message I get on my XP Pro laptop (translated)
is:

"\\DELL226\ACER can't access. It may be that you do not have permission
to access this network resource. Please ask your server administrator
whether or not you have access permission.

There is not enough memory on the server to deal with this command"

I have rebooted the XP Home PC. It has a gig of RAM and is running
almost nothing.
Thanks,
Rajiv

Please IGNORE the above post. I finally searched using "memory" and
found the IRPstacksize setting which corrected the problem. I will bang
my head 3 times against the desk in penance of not using the google
groups search properly.

Amen ;-)
