Odd problem with sound in Movie Maker 2

P

Paul Duke

I downloaded the new Windows Movie Maker 2 and I've had a
weird quirk after I save an edited movie project as
a .wmv file. A couple of shots into the .wmv file the
audio suddenly is distorted and everyone sounds like that
old cartoon the Chipmunks -- high and squeaky. It doesn't
sound like this when I'm playing the original edited
project from WMM2 itself. The change occurs exactly at
the change to a new shot, usually three or four shots
into the project.

I tried re-capturing and that didn't work. I also tried
taking the particular shot I was having the problem with
and turning that shot into a .wmv file by itself -- when
I did that the sound was normal. But when I recaptured
and put the project together again, the sound problem
reocurred -- only this time a few shots later.

Anyone know what this might be?

Thanks for your help.

i have terrible trouble with this. the sound clips at the transition. all i do to get over this is a long-winded effort.
make movie with the sound clips i want then cut all sound and save movie as dv-avi.
import avi into dvd programm and add sound clips.
if not making dvd then re-import avi file into MM2 and add sound! if there s a better way i want to hear it!
