It took me several attemps to download SP4 and now I have three folders on
my drive with 'odd' names. c:\5a36a26...., c:\69e81ffa7b....,
c:\b125a2fbf3c..... They are taking up about 200megs of space, and just look
stupid there. They don't look like the normal $NT folders for uninstalls in
the WINNT dir.

I have SP4 in now and a bunch of other updates do you think it wise of me to
delete them?

TIA,

Steve

Hi Steven

Those Folders you mentioned are the Folder in which Service Pack Contents
are unpacked to. Usually, when the Install completes successfully, those
Files are removed thereafter, generally. Certain times, however, this is not
the case. So you are safe to delete the specified folders.
However, the $NT Folder in your WINDIR should not be deleted as they are
needed for Uninstalls of Hotfixes/Service Packs.

Hope this helps. Regards,

Fabio
