I was looking in C drive and I noticed something odd
I saw a folder named windows.old (which is normal)
I also saw a folder named windows size 4.03 Gb (which seems normal enough)
But then there's a folder named winnt size 1.38 Gb (whats with this one??)

Why would a folder called winnt be in my C drive it has system files in it
and sub folders such as system32 ect....,, pretty much identical to the
windows folder is one of these obselete ??? if so which one is safe to
delete ??

If the system is functioning normally, why do you want to delete it?

Did you install Vista into the same folder as XP without doing an upgrade?

well firstly I did an upgrade installation and didn't notice it.
But I reinstalled onto a different hdd which had Xp on it and that was done
without using the upgrade function, thats when I noticed the extra folder
everything is running very well but I'd prefer to delete incase it causes
trouble later on.

It won't cause trouble as it is.

I guess it won't hurt to leave it
it just seemed odd that it was there in the first place I would of expected
it to be in the Windows.old folder.

Did you upgrade to XP from Windows 2000? Winnt is the windows folder in
Windows 2000.
