Odd FP 2002 behavior- why?!

Recently my FP ('02) has been acting strange. It is still working properly
but it's developed these annoying symptoms-

1) There is a short lag when typing text before it appears on the screen.
2) There is a short lag when trying to highlight text.
3) After highlighting text and doing a Ctrl + C, the task pane opens. This
has never happened before and I don't have any idea why.

All these things started happening around the same time so I think (?)
somehow they're related. All my other apps seem to be working just fine.

Any advice?

Try some clean up
1) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all FP Temp Files
Usually in C:\WINDOWS\Temp and %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp
- in FP 2003 you need to look in the super hidden folder
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\FrontPageTempDir
- also delete all IE Temp files
2) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files
Usually in %USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache
3) Open your FP Web/Site and run a Tools Site Settings Advanced - Delete files
4) Then run a Tools Recalculate Hyperlinks

The "task pane" w/ copy is either the paste options
Tools Page Options General - unselect it in Cut & Paste Options
(or globally turned on by another MS Office tool - same setting)
