After removing spyware from an XP home machine (it was
heavily infested with over 700+ instances) i rebooted the
machine and am unable to get back in. I am at the XP
home "login" screen and once i click the users name it
says "loading personal settings" then change to "savings
settings" ...nothing happens further at that point. at the
bottom left hand side the "shut down" link now says "turn
off all work and no play". Anyone seen any thing like this?

Thanks

A common result from removing spyware. See this link and good luck.
Removing that much junk might have left a few other problems.

Please note: I am suffering the same problem, under the
same circumstances, apparently many others are, too! As
I search for a solution the link suggested is the sole
advice provided. It is "page under construction"
bannered when visited, AND, one is relocated to some lame
site with no help listed at all on it... Do not bother
clicking the link as of 9.25.04.
E-mail me the solution, if you have it, please!
