ODBC32.DLL Not designed to run on Windows? after a Vista BSD

T

Tom

I'm running Vista Ultimate, and today I encountered a blue sceen of death.
It occured while I had the I-tunes application open and opened windows Mail.

After the reboot, I re-launched the i-tunes and got this error: "
C:\Windows\system32\ODBC32.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or
it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original
installation media or contact your system administrator or the software
vendor for support."

Now the fun begins... As it is, Vista doesn't allow me to modify any system
files. I heard a rumor, that I might be able to take ownership of the file
then replace the file, but looking at the process to take ownership of the
file, it appears that only one user can own a file, It seems joint ownership
isn't encourged.

I really do want to get system repaired.

....any reccomendations?

thanks
-Tom
