ODBC Microsoft Access Driver Login Failed

Hi,
I currently have my Excel Worksheets to refresh from the information on
Microsoft Access. Everything is set up on my desktop. However, I had to
transfer the access file and worksheets to my co-workers desktop. When
attempting to refresh from his desktop here is the message I get. Is there
any way of fixing this without having to recreate all 30 worksheets again?

Error Message:
ODBC Microsoft Access Driver Login Failed
"C:\Documents and Settings\Wbarrios\Desktop\WB_AR_AgingAll.mdb is not a
valid path. Make sure that the path name is spelled correctly and that you
are connected to the server on which the file resides"

Did you create the ODBC on his machine for the database?

How do you do that? Someone had done it on my machine, when I first started
and don't remember how. When I got my new computer, I never did it for the
new one. Could that be the reason why it takes so long to refresh?

Go to the control panel>administrative tools>ODBC sources.

Ok. I think I did it right. I named it the Database Name. AR_AgingAll.mdb
Now what do i need to do in order to get the worksheets to refresh since it
is being directed to my desktop vs. his? Oh Wait! (Light Bulb Just came on)
Do I just redirect it from there? Anxiously awaiting your response. Thanks
a million

It would depend on how you did the original link. On your machine, open the
spreadsheet, click on menu Data>Import External Data>Import Data, if it's
just an access db then select .mdb file type (dont use the all option as for
some reason, at least on mine it doesnt show .mdb files) and select the db
you want (you wont even need odbc). If you want to use odbc select that file
type and browse to the dsn you created. Also, make sure after you select the
input, on the next screen make sure you click on properties and set the
refresh options.

Sorry. When Attempting to go to the Data>Import External Data>Import Data,
that section is greyed out. I can hit the refresh button but that message is
what comes out on the pvt table. Maybe you can call me? I can give you my
actual email address and phone # so you can help me a little better. How
does that sound?--
Thanks for your help!
