ODBC connection to an access 97 prog via a workgroup

I have an access 97 database with a workgroup set up against it and I can only access the data in the database if I sign onto the workgroup. I want to set up an ODBC connection from SQLServer 2000 to this database. Is this an easy thing to do?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I apologise if this is really basic stuff.
