odbc connection problem

I am having trouble getting to the odbc connection in Access.
I go to
Tables
New
Link
File types
odbc
and the screen reverts to table
instead it should have taken me to select databases and files.

The odbc connections work perfectly in control panel.

Any suggestions?

If you use Norton AntiVirus, try disabling the Office Plugin. You'll find it
under 'miscellaneous' in the Norton AntiVirus options.
 
if your using a 64 bit OS then you may need to make sure you are using the
correct odbcad32.exe or odbc64.exe. Sometimes they get confused.
