OCR scanning into sharepoint

Is it possible to scan documents into pdf and the scanning process
separates the documents after account number into sharepoint
auotmatically. We have seen this solution by manually picking in the
number after each scan but we seek to do this automatically.

Not with the facilities offered in Windows XP. Perhaps you could try a
Sharepoint group?
