Occasional crash when deleting a record

Hi All,

This is a small Access 2003 running on XP Tablet. All fully patched.

I get an occasional crash when deleting a record in a table. The table is on
the one side of a relationship but I always make sure that there are not
records in the many side. Referential integrity, cascade update and delete
are enabled.

It is always when I delete a the record from the table itself. I have had
this problem before with other DB on the same laptop so I think it is a
problem with Access. I reckon it started when Access tables that were in a
relationship started to display the plus sign in the first column of the
table.

Any ideas please?

Ta.
Bill.

turn off Referential integrity, cascade update and delete
and see if it still happens

You should keep relevant parts of the coversation when you post a reply.

You could try turning off Subdatasheet Expanded in the table's properties
(set it to No). Open the table in design view, right click anywhere in the
table, and select Properties. Set the Subdatasheet property there.

I don't know if this will help, but I have a vague recollection of reading
about problems resulting from the subdatasheet feature. A groups search may
turn up more information.

I was full of optimism - then discovered it was already off!

Thanks for replying.
