objects blink while in edit mode

For some reason when I entered an object/picture in my slide it blinks and/or
flashes multiple times in the edit mode and does this each time I come to the
slide in the edit mode
 
Try to get the latest drivers for your video card.

Then try turning back graphics accelleration

(right click on desktop>properties>settings>advanced>troubleshoot)
