object fill effects - pattern

Hello,

Is there a way to modify the patterns in the "fill effect"? Or to
import/create new patterns? I want to fill a "rounded rectangle" with wider
diagonals/stripes than the ones that are available.

You can create your own "pattern" in an image editor or drawing program and
then import it using Insert|Fill Effects|Picture (or Texture).
