I have a friend who, after the ravages of a virus, needs
to reinstall I.E. and O.E. He's using version 4. At the
moment some files are damaged so he can't use I.E. at all.
Is there a way he can reinstall I.E./O.E. from the regis-
try or via some other program on Win98 SE?

Thanks,
bob

Bob,
If you have access to another computer that can write a CD, all versions of
IE are available from:
http://browsers.evolt.org/?ie/32bit
http://public.planetmirror.com/pub/microsoft/ie/
Or these folks will put anythiing on a CD for a reasonable price:
http://on-disk.com/
Or, if you ask around, someone probably has IE5 or 5.5 on a CD. They're
bundled with many other applications.
Someone who keeps everything probably has IE4 on a CD.

Or, this browser will fit on a floppy disk http://www.offbyone.com/and and
should allow you to download IE, Opera or Mozilla.
http://www.mozilla.org/
http://www.opera.com/

Hope this helps,
Don

Thanks, Don. I'll give it a try. And thanks on behalf
of my friend.
