NVTL Phoenix MFC Application failure

OS: Vista Ultimate
Hardware: Dell Latitude D620

I get this message ocassionally after I log on. Haven't found any reference
on Microsoft web site to this application. No Microsoft solution yet - after
3 months of use. MFC has something to do with time zones and daylight saving.

Anybody have an idea what is happening here?

XiUser,

I did a little google research, and learned the following, quote:

Microsoft Foundation Class (MFC) libraries is written using the Microsoft
Visual C++ programming code. Microsoft uses this code to write macros for
management of Windows messages, exceptions identification, and other such
uses. MFC has been somewhat eclipsed by other computer languages, especially
those associated with the .NET Framework, but it is still widely supported
and used.

Novatel Wireless, Inc. (NASDAQ: NVTL) is a leading provider of wireless
broadband access solutions and supplies wireless PC Card Modems and related
software.

From that information, it seems likely that that error message has to do
with your wireless card. Just what, exactly, I didn't learn. However, this
information could provide a basis for progress in identifying a solution.

Thanks, Freddy. Makes sense. I've been having frequent "lost connections"
to my wireless router. Dell's response is to replace that component this
week.

Code was probably written by Novatel for the MFC library. Flaky hardware
probably generating the code problem.

Thanks again for helping connect the dots.

My Dell XPS Lap-Top has the Verizon broad-band card (wireless) pre-installed.

Phoenix MFC Application has stopped working! Thanks Freddy and XiUser!w
