NVIDIA update kills internet access

I'm running a HP Pavillion 1540n that I upgraded from XP to Vista Home Premium.
When I finished for the night ( Jan 30/08), update installed the NVIDIA
controller update before shutting down. When started in the morning I
couldn't access the internet and after much searching determined that the
controller was not working.
Thankfully System Restore removed the update and everything was normal.
Just wondering if any others have experienced same.

For future reference you can choose to automatically download but not
install updates. For drivers you're better off not updating existing ones
unless you're having a problem.
