I have conected my PC to my VCR via a S-Video Scart lead, so that i can
record my edited videos to tape. All i get on the tape is a picture of my
Desktop.
I am using Movie Maker to edit my videos.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Hello,

Thats neat :)

You need to load the WMD or is it WDM video device driver. It should have come
on the instalation disk for the card...if not you can get it from Microsoft but
you would do better to get it from the manufacturer of the card...NOT Nvidia
unless directed to do so by the card manufacturer...reason device drivers from
Microsoft/NVidia conform to the base specification and your card may/probably
will be better than that.

Once installed you will see a new device in your capture devices.

Hello again,

Additional. Capturing video from my NVidia card was OK but it always had a
slight red cast. I solved that problem by feeding the video through a program
called MovieXone and later through its big brother (paid for version) MovieDV
from AIST. It gives you EXACT control over all of the colour channels including
the Alpha channel...great for making ghosts walk across the screen.

MovieXone is often found free on Mag cover disks.
