For about 3 weeks now my pc(windows update) has been prompting me about a
driver download for my nvidia graphics card from the info i gather it is a
video driver released april 2007.Well unfortunately it has failed everytime
i have tried to let windows vista install it.I have even tried to bypass this
update by downloading the new beta force nvidia drivers released aug 2007 but
i still keep getting the old update every night when the pc scans.I can not
seem to find an update anywhere on the net released in april 2007 for nvidia
at all and i can't get the pc to take this stupid download sucessfully.Any
suggestions? I have NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE.Any help is greatly appreciated !

You have been fortunate that you have *not* been able to get the Nvidia
driver from Windows Update. In general, installing drivers from Windows
Update is a very bad idea that often ends in Tears Before Bedtime.

To stop being prompted for the update, set your computer to not do
automatic Windows Updates. Instead, choose "download updates but let me
choose whether to install them". You can then choose not to install (or
be offered again) the Nvidia driver.

He should also right click on the nVidia driver entry in Windows Update and
select "hide" and then he won't be offered the update again.
