NVIDIA display software update released on October 17 2003.

I downloaded the NVIDIA display software update released
on October 17 2003. Since then I receive the following
error on restart;
NVIEW ERROR
Wizard Error - There is already a copy of nview on the
desktop running
How to resolve this, anyone?

Go into display properties,click on settings, click on advanced, click on GeForce 256, scroll down and click on desktop management, uncheck "enable nview desktop manager.
