Hi my computer keeps crashing, it says it's hardware, i have a message from
problem reporting saying it's my video device driver. It says i have the most
up to date driver. It says to manually decrease the hardware acceleration but
the driver won't let me. I'm a novice when it comes to computers so any
suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I'm running vista 32bit, My graphics
card is a nvidia geforce 7300gs 256mb pci-e graphics. I have 1024mb ddr2
533mhz memory. A intel core 2 duo e6300 1.86ghz 2mb cache. My board is a msi
p4m890m it says i have the most current bios. My computer doesn't even run
for 1 hour b4 it crashes. and it will crash if it is sitting there idle. Any
suggestions?

Hi Pierre,

Welcome to the club of people waiting for better graphics drivers for Vista.
NVidia has a forum to post problems
here.
It should not take too long to get better drivers but until then we just have
to wait.

Here is the link to Beta Vista (version 100.59) dirvers which were released
last week I suggest that you download and install them.
Take a restore point first just in case you want to go back to the ones you
currently have, however, I have not seen any reports of problems with them
only reports of problems fixed. I do suggest that you read the release
notes for them and if you are using the 97.46 drives that you read their
release notes also since there are several functions not available yet that
were in the 96.86 drivers that were in the RTM Vista release.

Hi thanks for the response. I have got the driver 100.59 and there is no
difference. I have also reported my bug to them as they have a site where you
can do this. Does anyone know how to clear the Enable Write Combining as
windows says i shouldl do this and tells me how except the driver doesn't
allow me to change these settings.
