Numeric keypad slash key and notes?

Does anybody know why if you are using the numeric keypad,
specifically the slash key, it doesn't type a slash but
toggles between fonts in the notes section to the left?

Which version of PPT? Is your NumLock on?

Also, PPT 2002 has an outline section to the left. Is that what you're
referring to? If so, then the slash is the toggle for turning formatting
on and off in the outline view (outline pane). (Oddly enough, I can't
get it to work here, though. Go figure.)

You may need to use the slash that's elsewhere on your keyboard.
