Okay here I sit feeling like a Microsoft Inducted Moron.......I just built a new computer and loaded into it a copy of Windows XP Home. It is a legitimate legal copy.....OEM purchased from a dealer. Anyway here I sit with my disk and I actually threw the cardboard package away with the COA number on it. I have already activated the program and it is great but now if I need to re-install I have no numbers to put in. Okay so I am a moron! Is there somewhere on the computer that stores that number so that I can at least write it down for future reference? When I go to my computer all it shows is the OEM numbers. Help me please!!

Greetings --

You should be able to use AIDA32 Enterprise from
http://www.aida32.hu/aida32.php to find the Product Key. Perhaps you
should use a permanent marker to write in on the CD.
