Numbering in Word

I have a document that is 15 pages long. I want my numbering to say:
Page x of y. I know how to do that, but the kicker is that I want the
first page blank, and then the second page to start numbering page 1 of
14; in other words not counting the first page at all.

Is this possible or do I have to save the first (cover) page in a
separate file?

Doug Robbins - Word MVP - DELETE UPPERCASE CHARACT

At the location where you want the page numbers to appear, insert the
following field construction using Ctrl+F9 to insert each pair of field
delimiters { }

{ IF { PAGE } > 1 { = { PAGE } - 1} } of { IF { PAGE } > 1 { = {
NUMPAGES } - 1} }

Use Alt+F9 to toggle off the field codes.
