Hello,
I have a document where I want to refer back to a page number, e.g., For a
discussion of this, please go to page xx. Can I dynamically link the page
in case something changes, the xx page number changes automatically.

Thanks,

Bill

Place your cursor at the text you are referring to and click on Insert >
Bookmark to make a bookmark giving it a relevant name. Now go to the point
where you want your page number and after the word Page click on Insert >
Cross Reference. Select Bookmark from the list on the left and use the box
at the top right to choose Page Number, select your bookmark and click
Insert, it's page number will now appear. To update your page numbers press
CTRL+A to select the whole document and then click your right mouse button
over the highlighted text and select Update Field, choose Entire Table and
everything will update.

Note that if you want to insert a PAGEREF to a heading, numbered item,
footnote, endnote, or caption (figure, table, equation), they are already
bookmarked (as you will find when you open the Insert | Reference | Bookmark
dialog.
