Numbering Add-In Message

When I open my Invoice Template, I get a message that
says, "The numbering add-in must be loaded for optimal
numbering and toolbar behavior. Please load this add-in
into your library directory." Please tell me what this
means and how to do this. I do not see the numbering
option in the add-in box. Thanks
