Karen Barry

Hopefully this will make sense. I am adding information to a spreadsheet
and when I try to input, let¹s say a zip code starting with the number zero,
it does not appear on the sheet. How do I make the number stay visible? I
am a little rusty on my excel skills so if anyone can help me with this it
would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

You can enter it as text (as you don't really want to do any
arithmetic on it), either by pre-formatting the cell(s) as Text or by
putting an apostophe in front of the zip code as you enter it.

Hope this helps.

Pete

If you're entering those zip codes in their own column, you could format
that column specifically for zip codes, or zip code + 4.

<Format> <Cells> <Number> tab,

Click on "Special", then choose your Type.
