number of users on one share

I have a DVD drive in a Win2000 Pro box that has a share
on it which many users in my office connect to. If too
many people try to access it they get a message that they
cannot access it. In the Share settings there is a "User
limit" area that I have set to "maximum allowed". What is
that limit and can I increase it? I see that if I use
the "Allow __ users" I can only set it to 10?

Do you happen yo know if XP Pro would allow more users per
share than Win2000 Pro?
 
XP home allows 5, XP PRO allows 10. You would need a server OS 2k or 2k3.
