Number of fields in report

Yes, there is a limit to the number of "controls" on both forms and reports.
I think it is about 754. You could search Help on "specifications" to find
all of these types of maximums.

754, I am trying less than 100 and the wizard generates a msg saying that i
should try the report with less fields.Any clue why this should happen with
Microsft Access 2003?

Because the wizard is limited.
You can have a maximum of 255 fields on a report (unless you resort to using
a subreport)
You can have a maximum of 754 controls on a report.

You can start building the report with the wizard and a limited number of
fields. Then once the report is built by the wizard, you can add the
remaining controls and fields.
