Number of admin user accounts and old user name still working

A Paranoid Newsgroup User

Is it recommended to have more than one administrator for a computer? The
reason I ask is I read that the built-in administrator account is only meant
to be used when you have to use safe mode. So does this mean that it's
better to use another admin for regular adminstrative duties? If more than
one administrator is NOT needed, then why is it that Windows XP Pro would
not let me change my 2nd admin to a limited account until I created a 3rd
admin??
 
I am using XP pro and I am able to change my 2nd account
to a limited account without having a 3rd.
