Number format changes in chart after closing and opening

when i close my worksheet to save, i reopen it and my number formating within
the data table portion of the chart has changed. For example from $ to %.

I have not seen this happen but here's something to try;
Format the Axis; on the Numbers tab there is a box "linked to source"; click
this to remove the check mark
