Backup the registry.

In regedit, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Keyboard

Then double-click the InitialKeyboardIndicators value on the right
Change the value to 0 and exit the registry.

This is done in the bios of your system. When you boot go
to ther bios and there shouild be an option for num lock
ON/OFF. It is not set within the OS itself or that I have
ever seen before.

hope this helps!!!

If you know how to get into your BIOS you can check it off there.
Otherwise hit the NumLock button on your keyboard. Easy wasn't it? :)

Further to the advice by "purplehaz". I turn "Numlock" on, shutdown and
restart then "Numlock" will be on already independenant of the BIOS.
