Nudge Label Based on Field Size

Hi,

I have a report where a price prints ($1.99). There are some prices
where the dollar amount is 2 digits ($19.99). I need the dollar sign to
print to the left of the fist dollar number. My problem is that I
can't find any way to tell a report to push the dollar symbol to the
right so that it rests right before the dollar value. Right now I have
it setup in a static location, but if the dollar value only has one
digit there is a massive blank space between the dollar sign and the
first dollar digit. Is there any way to make the report auto fit the
dollar next to the dollar value? Thanks for any help.

You can either set the format of the textbox to Currency and get rid of the
static $ label,or set the label containing the actual number to align left
and make it large enough to accommodate all possible size fields.

Thanks Susan,

I think the currency option will work but i ow do i do that? In the
format box there is a dropdown with nothing in it. Typing currency in
doesn not seem to do anything? Thanks again
