NTVDM

Robert

I am trying to reinstall the driver for my scanner and I
continue to get a message that the NTVDM.Exe has failed.
I get the distinct impression that the NTVDM.exe file is
corrupt. Is there a way to repair that file, or perhaps
is this a problem that is common. The problem caused the
machine to freeze. I have tried to use software with a
crashproof feature and that finds the same issue and
cannot repair it before the system freezes. I would
appreciate any help or direction anyone can give. Thanks

Are you by chance using a driver intended or Windows ME, 98 or 95? Make
very sure it's a Windows 2000 driver.
