NTVDM.EXE use 100% of my CPU

When we start a application, and that application is MS-DOS program (16bit)
the process NTVDM.exe use 100% of my CPU.
We made test in two machines, all with Windows Xp Professional and one with
SP1 and the second with SP2.
Anybody help-me?? Any ideas??

I am able to run the application and test.... but why you ask??
are you have a solution for my problem??
