Well, it is only now I start to read about deletion of the "NTUSER.DAT"
on the newsgroups.... but I have already deleted it from one "limited
user" profile (it was growing too big) on my WinXP-Home Edition
computer (I am the admin user).
The aftermath for that user account is the user's desktop scheme cannot
be set -- it only remain in classic way. Using the "control panel -
Appearance and themes":
-- Although it can be changed to XP but only for current session; also,
when selected again, it complains "The visual style cannot be applied".
-- When select the "window classic", it complains
"\\Windows\resource\Theres\Window Clasic.theme can not be loaded",
although the file can be seen from the users account.
Other than that, the user account seems working fine on other things.
Any suggestion for a fix is appreciated.
